The Zimmer-Biomet Nano Total shoulder has now been approved by the FDA Dr. Bailie was one of the 4 surgeon-designers for this novel implant and a principal investigator in the multi-center FDA study carried out to approve the device. In fact, he was the only surgeon west of the Mississippi River selected to participate in this study. Having been selected to help design this device, FDA approval is the culmination of almost a decade of work and millions of dollars in R&D for this technology.

Dr. Bailie is proud to have worked with some of the best Orthopedic surgical minds and industry engineers at BIOMET (before it was acquired by Zimmer) on this project. It represents the most state of the art device in primary shoulder arthroplasty.
