Dr. Bailie was invited to participate as the Keynote Medical Speaker at the Seminar of the Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA) on Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency in Phoenix, Arizona. He presented a talk titled: Platelet Rich Plasma and Cell Based Therapies in Orthopedics. The Industrial Commission oversees all aspects of Worker’s Compensation Administration for the State of Arizona. Their annual meeting is attended by attorneys, nurse case managers, insurance adjusters, Arizona State officials, and administrators from several states including California, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona.
A limited number of speakers are invited to this mostly business meeting which featured Dr. Bailie as the primary medical orator. He presented information regarding PLATELET RICH PLASMA, STEM CELL THERAPY, and other BIOLOGICAL INJECTABLES’ current roles in the treatment of tendon/ligament/joint diseases. Dr. Bailie provided the attendees with the science behind these novel treatments, their FDA status, indications and insight into current and ongoing research. He then remained afterward to answer audience questions.
